In 2011, Ian Axel released his debut solo LP This Is the New Year, the title track of which appeared in Garry Marshall’s New Year’s Eve film, provided the theme song to an MTV documentary series & had an associated video wrack up over 1 million hits on YouTube. He's received critical acclaim from publications including NPR, SPIN, and New York Magazine. He is now in the band A Great Big World.
